Maithili Chitrakari

A Perfect Stop for Madhubani Art

Introduction

“Maithili Chitrakari” is a tribute to Goddess Sita   & an effort  to  showcase  the  Folk  Art   from  her  homeland, Mithila (Part of Bihar). Mithila Art is also popularly Known as " Madhubani Art".

Aim

We aim at giving Mithila art a new dimension in the fashion  world without  changing  its  innate  beauty.      The core idea is to expand Madhubani Art on not only   traditional Indian attire but also to expand its horizon on western and semi western outfits.

Mission

Our mission is to promote and preserve the heritage of Mithila/ Madhubani Paintings and its centuries old freehand style and also to support the women Artists practicing Mithila / Madhubani Art.
